Nicolas Ramirez Velez Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 , held in Orlando, Florida, ended this past Saturday. The charity marathon helping the fight against cancer by shattering the numbers of previous iterations of the event.
On its 10th anniversary AGDQ raised nearly 3.13 million USD, nearly 100 thousand over the previous year, according to the Games Done Quick twitter. Additionally, this year’s marathon received over 54.000 donations from more than 80 countries, the highest number of donations for a GDQ event yet.
AGDQ 2020 had over 2.700 attendees at the venue and a peak audience on Twitch of 236,000 viewers. The GDQ events have raised over 25 million USD for different charities such as the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders over the past ten years.
