Breaking Up With Facebook On It’s Birthday

Facebook turns 15 this month and to help celebrate Triple J, an Australian national radio station, is encouraging people to jump ship. The breakfast duo Ben and Liam took calls from users this morning helping them breakup with the website.

Despite the many security scandals and privacy concerns last year Facebook continued to see growth throughout 2018. However the social media site is beginning to feel the winds of change, and now feels more like a thrift store of memories interlaced with advertisements and spiteful reviews rather than a place to celebrate friendships.

If you are like me then you are probably still on Facebook but not really sure why. If this campaign gets enough traction will it be enough for you to finally axe the site once and for all? Or are the dank memes and group chats enough to keep you around forever?
