DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One – New Trailer and Release Date Revealed

During Opening Night Live at Gamescom, DOOM fans got a release date and glimpse into the next expansion for DOOM Eternal titled The Ancient Gods. With Part One releasing on October 20, 2020.

This new single-player DLC is the first of a two-part story that will see players battling an ancient evil that has been awoken from an imbalance in the heavens. Tear through never before visited locations and throw down with ferocious new demons in this next chapter of the DOOM Slayer’s story.

Players who have the DOOM Eternal Year One Pass or the Deluxe Edition of the game will get The Ancient Gods at no extra cost. Fans who don’t own the pass can purchase the addon separately, meaning you do not need to earn DOOM Eternal to get The Ancient Gods, Part One. The expansion will also give free access to DOOM Eternal’s Battlemode.

id Software also reminded fans today that DOOM Eternal owners will get a free next-gen upgrade for the game when playing on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. DOOM Eternal plans to support backward compatibility as soon as the new consoles launch.

Pricing: Year One Pass – US$29.99 / AU$44.95 Ancient Gods Standalone – US$19.99 / AU$29.95
