RIP XP talents! This is a huge nerf to support heroes, combine this another reduction in the amount of XP Outposts (every 10 mins instead of 5 and 20*Minute-50) provide and there’s going to be alot of heroes who will struggle to gain levels. Icefrog is clearly addressing the current snowball meta by reducing the amount of XP gained, thus extending the game length and balancing the game (slightly more). Will it be successful? Only time will tell…

This patch also sees the removal of the non-Roshan shrines for each team. This is an interesting change as it effects both teams slightly differently. The Dire offlane and Radiant safe lanes no longer have easy access to shrine at 5 minutes (now increased to 7 minutes), but the Dire safe lane and Radiant offlanes still do. We also see a slight reduction to the duration of shrines from 5 to 4 minutes, likely to compensate for only having one shrine available and in all likelihood, having your mid laner taking it at every opportunity to restore their mana, instead of buying Clarities.
Along with XP talents, a few OP heroes got minor nerfs. Of course, I’m talking about Snapfire, Void Spirit, Treant and Ursa (Drow and Venge somewhat surprisingly got slight nerfs also). Nothing huge, but maybe by patch 7.23z we will finally see Void Spirit balanced.
