Following the news of ana not playing this DPC season, JerAx has decided to go one better and announce his retirement from Dota. JerAx has been a mainstay in the OG roster since leaving Team Liquid in 2016, but as OG have said, ‘all good things come to an end.
JerAx explains in a goodbye post that he has “no willingness nor passion to play Dota 2 anymore, and I have trouble fitting myself into my competitor’s shoes.”. There’s no question that being a professional gamer is challenging, so to hear this honest reflection from someone who has achieved as much as JerAx has is admiral.
As for the future, JerAx will pursue his other passion – creativity. JerAx explains that “I love being creative and have a huge urge to bring ideas to life”. What does this exactly mean? Time will tell.
As for OG? No official statement yet regarding a replacement. But with MidOne, SumaiL, and plenty of young, talented free agents around, I’m sure we will get an announcement soon.
