In a recent Monster Hunter Digital Event, Capcom released new details about the upcoming game, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. A new trailer was shown that gave players more information on the game’s plot and a sneak peek of two characters who will be returning to the title from the first Monster Hunter Stories game. On top of that, more information on the new strategic battle system and gameplay overhaul was shown as well.
The new combat system will feature three attack types as well as numerous weapons, element attacks, and skills for players to master. There will also be a new part-breaking mechanic and Kinship attacks that have devastating effects and quickly change the tide of battle.
Pre-orders for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are already available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Gamers who own Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 will also have access to some crossover content coming to both games later this year. After linking save data, the Monster Rider layered armor will be available in Monster Hunter Rise, and the Kamura Garb layered armor will become available in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
