The ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open is the biggest Oceania Valorant tournament to date, so big in fact that it’s officially apart of Riot Games’ VALORANT Ignition series. The Ignition series is Riot’s first step at developing the Valorant competitive ecosystem across the world. These tournaments are the foundation of Riot’s vision as several the most recognizable orginizations across the world have all signed up including Ninjas in Pyjamas, G2 Esports, T1, FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves and more.
Last weekend saw the conclusion of the Open Qualifiers as we officially said goodbye to 357 of the 373 teams that entered. This means that there are only 16 teams remaining including tournament favourites such as Coffee, Exo Clan, and Crab Walk Killers. While not all of these 16 teams might be household names across OCE, there are a number of talented players from other FPS games such as CS:GO and Overwatch who have showcased their skills so far.
Not only are the teams competing to be crowned the inaugural ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open champions, but also for their share of the $10,000 AUD prize pool. This is all made possible by tournament hosts (and leading Australian esport organization), ORDER, along with the good people at Logitech G who are the official sponsor of the tournament.
The next stage of the ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open takes place this weekend, July 18-19, with a Double Elimination Group Stage that is followed by a Single Elimination BO3 Playoffs the following weekend and concluding with the granddaddy of them all, the grand final on July 26.
Tune in on Saturday to ORDER’s official Twitch channel here from 1pm AEST to catch all of the action. See you there!
