PS5 Teardown – Inside Sony’s Next-Gen Console
With the PlayStation 5 launching in Australia next week (November 12), Sony has provided PlayStation fans with a first look at PlayStation 5’s internal components. The video gives insight into the past five years of design and development efforts that paves the way for next generation of consoles.
Masayasu Ito, Executive Vice President of Hardware Engineering and Operation at Sony Interactive Entertainment took to the PlayStation Blog to say, “Our team values a well thought out, beautifully designed architecture. Inside the console is an internal structure looking neat and tidy, which means that there aren’t any unnecessary components and the design is efficient. As a result, we’re able to achieve our goal of creating a product with a high degree of perfection and quality.”
“After an extensive and complex trial and error process, we were pleased with the end result and I cannot wait for our fans to get their hands on the PS5 console and “hear” it for themselves.”
