Operation Ember Rise is grappling its way closer everyday with today Ubisoft announcing two new Operators to the Rainbow Six Siege roster. These operators have been rumored for a while now and have showed up on a few leaked pages, turns out again the rumors were right. The first is a Defender named Goyo, whose Volcán Shields provide deployable cover with a fiery, explosive surprise. The second is an Attacker named Amaru, who can use her Garra Hook to quickly zip up to rooftops, exterior windows, open hatches, and skylights. The gadgets were showed off just the other day via a small trailer which shows the shield exploding and the grapple hook failing… most of the time. Below you can check out a video of the new operators in action along with the new map.
Along with the new operators the Kanal map is getting a long overdue revamp. I say long overdue because well, I never really enjoyed playing on this map at all, I was unsure of why but hopefully the changes are vast improvements.
The Kanal map has added an additional bridge to increase more ways to make your way through the building. Amaru obviously will take advantage of this map using her Garra Hook to travel between the two buildings. Fewer windows, reconfigured rooftops and easier color coding for better call outs have all been added to the map.
The reworked Kanal map will be free for all players when Operation Ember Rise launches. The two new Operators, Goyo and Amaru, will be immediately available for Year 4 Pass holders, and all other players can unlock them seven days later with Renown or R6 credits.
