In case you weren’t already a huge fan of the Razer Blade 15, Razer have one-upped themselves by announcing the Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition laptop — The perfect mobile workstation no matter your profession.
“If I was to ask myself a few years ago, if I could pull off a high concept CG animated project like Battlesuit on a laptop remotely – I would probably think I was insane,” said Hasraf ‘HaZ’ Dulull, Director and Producer of Battlesuit. “Today, tools like Unreal Engine powered by NVIDIA GPU rendering on a Blade laptop are empowering filmmakers like myself to push the boundaries of sci-fi storytelling without restrictions, thus enabling me to realise my vision regardless of how wild my imagination is”.
The all-new Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition laptop builds on the Razer Blade 15’s foundation with the latest 8-Core 10th Gen Intel processor, but focuses on the needs of professional creators with a NVIDIA Quadro RTX5000 GPU with supportive features such as a custom calibrated 4K OLED touch display, a UHS-III SD card reader and USB-C charging.
Powering the Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition is an eight core Intel i7-10875H processor that can provide upto 5.1 GHz clock speeds, thanks to Intel Thermal Velocity Boost technology. It’s NVIDIA Quadro RTX5000 GPU features a huge 16GB of GDDR6 memory that is perfect for intensive processing that comes with video editing and multi-app workflows.
If its elegant mercury white finish isn’t pretty enough, then the Blade 15 Studio Edition’s 15.6-inch 4K OLED touch display is guaranteed to get your attention. Each display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space along with featuring a response time of 1ms and finished with Gorilla Glass panel, just in case you get a little carried away.
“I’ve been working with the previous Blade 15 Studio over the last few months and have found it not only to be a great day-to-day laptop but when you need to call on it to really push things, this machine comes alive,” said Jarred Land, CEO of RED Digital Cinema. “Now it looks like the new Blade Studio is even better with the new 8-core processor and YES! The ability to now charge over USB-C/Thunderbolt. The new updates will surely make this my primary laptop in the future.”
Features such as UHS-III SD Card reader, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 all come standard with the Blade 15 Studio. But this is to be expected when this laptop’s pricing begins at $4299.99 USD (~$6,400AUD). No Australian release date has been set, although the Blade 15 is available now via select US and Canada retailers and Razer.com
