The new DLC, Markarth is the last instalment of the year-long Dark Heart Heart of Skyrim adventure and will take players to the area of Skyrim known as the Reach, with an all-new zone, and the storyline that ties into the year-long adventure and introduces a new solo arena. The Markarth DLC will release on November 2nd for PC/Mac and November 10th for PS4 and Xbox, and it will be available free as part of an ESO Plus membership or available from the in-game Crown Store.
The new DLC and Update 28 will be going live today on the Public Test Server, Monday the 21st of September.
If you can’t wait to until November to get started on your new adventure, players can pick up the Markarth Prologue questline now from the in-game Crown Store for free! These quests will take you on an adventure that leads directly into the main storyline of the Markarth DLC.
In addition to Markarth, ESO is hosting a new in-game event starting next week. The Lost Treasures of Skyrim challenges the player and the ESO community to unlock three tiers of collectible rewards that include new cosmetics, a pet, new house, and the first of a new type of collectible: houseguests. To get started on the challenges players need to use the Antiquities system introduced in the Greymoor Chapter to dig up Tamriels lost treasures The more treasure players find, the quicker you and fellow Greymoor players will unlock the rewards. The event also brings bonus rewards to all players who adventure and complete daily quests in Western Skyrim. This event and the rewards are only available to those who own the Greymoor Chapter.
In addition to the Lost Treasures event there are a line up of player and community events scheduled:
- Lost Treasures of Skyrim (September 23-October 5)
- Witches Festival (October 22-November 3)
- Undaunted Celebration (November 25-December 12)
- New Life Festival (December 21-January 2, 2021)
Each event will feature its own rewards and challenges and allow players to collect Event Tickets and acquire the final Indrik evolution; the Crimson Indrik which will be the final Indrik evolution available since it was launched back in 2018. ESO has also announced an end-of-year promotion, #TamrielTogether! Throughout the rest of this year, ESO will be celebrating everything players do as a community to make Tamriel of The Elder Scrolls Online the remarkable world it is today.
