Valve FINALLY confirm The International 2019 dates

Having previously announced that The International 2019 will break tradition and take place at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, Valve have FINALLY confirmed the official dates for the most anticipated tournament of the year. Be sure to keep August 20 to August 25 clear in your calendars as 18 of the world’s top teams compete for not only the biggest prizepool in Esports, but also the prestigious Ageis of Champions. Tickets are expected to go on sale within the coming weeks, giving you plenty of time to organize leave or other ingenious ways of missing work or school during this period.

This wasn’t so hard, was it Valve?

Qualification for TI9 differs from previous years, as there’s no direct invites. Team’s qualify by earning DPC points awarded from each Minor and Major tournaments throughout the Dota season, with 6 spots reserved for regional qualifies. At present, Virtus.Pro, Team Secret, Vici Gaming and Evil Geniuses have all qualified, leaving 8 spots available heading into the regional qualifiers. For those who say regional qualifies are a waste of spots, only need to be reminded of Team OG’s spectacular run last year from regional qualifiers, to TI8 champions!
