Shaun Grimley It should come as no surprise that I can’t wait for The Outer Words. I lost count of the number of hours I spent with Fallout: New Vegas and still think that it’s one of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. Recently PC Gamer got their hands on an unfinished build of the game and were lucky enough to upload some footage for us, check it out below.
As you can see from the footage, gamers familiar to Fallout: New Vegas will feel right at home, albeit in a vibrant Alien universe. Obsidian Entertainment have clearly stuck to their guns and for good reason- if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m of course referring to Fallout: New Vegas as both games share a vast amount of similarities. In the uploaded footage the PC Gamer lads were able to complete various side-quests, engage in conversations with NPC’s and showcase some of the firearms available in the game. Obviously, the footage above contains minor spoilers of side-quests, but no spoilers relating to major storylines (so they think).
The Outer Worlds is set to be released on October 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with the latter will be a timed exclusive for The Epic Game Store. You can check out the previous E3 2019 trailer for The Outer Worlds here.
