MSI Unveils New 10th Gen Powered Gaming Desktops

MSI Infinite and Trident lineups offer up to 10th-generation Intel Comet Lake-S processing power and NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER graphics

MSI, a world leader in gaming hardware and computing solutions, announced six new gaming desktops equipped with 10th Generation Intel® CoreTM i9 processors (Comet Lake-S). Offering 10 cores, up to 20 threads and a single-core clock that can reach up to 5.3 GHz, the new Comet Lake-S processor improves performance by 30 percent from the previous generation. The updated Trident and Infinite series lineups deliver more speed and power for maxing out game performance and multitasking with ease.

“We designed the new Trident with portability in mind. Compared to competitor cases, our 10-liter size packs the latest and most powerful components into a console-sized form factor that’s as aesthetically pleasing as it is powerful,” said X. “As for the Infinite series, we’re excited to bring gamers an easily upgradeable computer for component switching on the fly, delivering a competitive edge over most setups that require an intricate process to replace parts.”

Compact yet agile, the Trident series features a console-sized form factor and sharp designs, fitting as perfectly in a living room as it does deskside. The flagship model MEG Trident X packs today’s most advanced components, including an Intel Core i9-10900K processor and NVIDIA® RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card, into a compressed 10-liter case. MSI’s exclusive Silent Storm Cooling technology ensures optimal airflow and smooth gameplay. The MEG Trident X’s built-in Thunderbolt™ 3 offers transfer rates of up to 40Gb/s, three times faster than USB 3.2 Gen 1 and ideal for quickly accessing game log files. Inspired by the elegance of artisanal wine cabinets, the MEG Trident X adopts a see-through glass design, while MSI’s exclusive Mystic Light feature pairs the lighting of the desktop with real-time game effects for improved immersion while playing.

Focused on performance, the Infinite Series was built for professional gamers. Built around simple upgradeability that makes swapping components a breeze, it’s perfect for players who frequently update their hardware. The MEG Infinite X can be configured up to an Intel Core i9-10900K CPU, and MSI’s built-in AIO liquid cooling fan with Silent Storm Cooling technology quietly dissipates heat buildup so players can focus on their game. Gamers can customize their MEG Infinite X thanks to built-in Mystic Light RGB lighting. Like the Trident, the Infinite series utilizes a side glass window for players to sync up real-time effects or personalize their machine with color. The built-in Intel Wi-Fi 6 module has a transmission rate of up to 2.4Gbps, three times as fast as the previous generation and providing players with a fast, stable connection for online games.

MSI also updated its Dragon Center system management software to give players access to critical functions with the touch of a button. Newly added functions to Dragon Center 2.0 include Gaming Mode, Game Highlights, and MSI Companion.

Gaming Mode optimizes computer performance by tuning the system to the game. Game Highlights allow players to record their best gaming moments and share them directly to social media. Lastly, MSI Companion displays real-time system performance stats while gaming. MSI’s new desktops will be available for purchase at the end of May.
